RAINY DAY IN ROYAL OAK? HERE’S HOW TO SPEND IT

April showers bring May flowers! Unfortunately, we must get through the showers first. Good thing Royal Oak is full of indoor pastimes. Whether you need a hiatus from studying, want to catch up with friends or are looking for ways to enjoy your spring break, this city is no stranger to a good time. Here are a few of our favorite ways to spend a rainy day in the home of our newest campus:

Escape Room

The Great Escape Room in downtown offers six different rooms for groups and private parties. Grab your friends and head to 4th Street to test your problem-solving and code-cracking skills. Book your tickets here to experience the No. 1 voted escape room across America.

Breweries & Tasting Rooms

Less than a five-minute drive from our Royal Oak campus is a handful of breweries and tasting rooms. If you’re wanting to indulge in a delectable dinner or grab drinks with a friend, head downtown and visit:

Royal Oak Brewery

Michigan By the Bottle Tasting Room – Royal Oak

Brown Iron Brewhouse Royal Oak

Royal Oak Taphouse

Drag Queen Bingo

If you need a wacky night full of entertainment and laughs, Drag Queen Bingo is the way to go. Five15, located on S. Washington Ave., hosts several events including fundraisers, fashion shows, poetry readings, painting classes, trivia nights and of course bingo, all ran by their fabulous queens. Visit Five15’s website linked here for upcoming events.

Golf Center

Michigan’s premier golf practice facility is just a straight shot up Woodward Avenue. No matter your skill level, the Royal Oak Golf Center offers something for everyone, from private lessons and group sessions to mini golf and more! Check it out here.

As Michigan’s weather can be unpredictable, we are ecstatic to open a Baker campus in a city full of appealing activities where boredom seems impossible. Rainy day or not, Royal Oak has endless options for a fun night (or day) out.
