Royal Oak Campus FAQ

Here are some of the questions we’re getting from you. If you have any additional questions, please contact us here.

When will the campus be open?

Our doors open Spring 2023 but we’ll be sure to add updates here and across all our channels to keep you posted on our construction progress.

Where is the campus?

Our seven-story building will be right downtown, on South Lafayette Ave. between West 4th Street and West 5th Street (420 South Lafayette Ave.).

Will there be a cafe or any amenities on campus?

There are going to be modern classrooms, collaborative study spaces and on-premise parking. There won’t be any onsite dining or shopping however because we want you to explore Royal Oak! With so many incredible businesses, shops and eateries, you have a lot of different options all within a couple of blocks!

Where can I park when I visit the campus?

We are going to be offering onsite parking in our very own garage. As construction progresses, we’ll determine how many spots we have but luckily the City of Royal Oak has four garages within a few blocks of campus. AND those garages offer free parking for the first two hours.

What programs will be offered in Royal Oak?

The Royal Oak campus will offer business, criminal justice, education, information technology, liberal arts and science programs, nursing, occupational therapy and psychology. PLUS, all Baker College programs will continue to be offered online.

Why did Baker College choose Royal Oak?

We want to have a campus that supports our students’ needs. Students need a diverse, collaborative environment and we think Royal Oak is the perfect place to learn, explore and grow together.
